“Pierre” was brought to the emergency vet by his family because he was not doing well. His family only had him for 3 days before he became sick. They were unable to care for him or afford the cost of diagnostics and treatment, so they surrendered him. Once diagnostics were complete “Pierre” was found to be suffering from a parasite overload and severe anemia. He received a blood transfusion and was hospitalized in ICU at C.A.R.E for quite some time but recovered well. He has since been adopted by a very loving family and his name is now Chorizo and is full of energy and growing like a weed. He may not be very big, but his personality and his attitude make him seem like a giant.
